Are you looking for an opportunity to gain valuable presentation experience, connect with your colleagues, build your CV, network with industry, and maybe even win some money? Of course, you are! All engineering graduate students are encouraged to participate in the 1st Okanagan Engineering Conference on Innovative Research in Science and Technology on March 27-28, 2020. This two-day social and academic event brings together students, faculty, and industry professionals from a variety of science and technology disciplines to share their experiences and research findings.
The conference program will include a morning session of poster presentations and an afternoon session of oral paper presentations showcasing the pioneering research work of graduate researchers at UBCO. The event will conclude with a keynote address from sponsors and invited speakers at the banquet dinner, followed by an awards ceremony to recognize winning presenters from each category (M.Eng., M.A.Sc., Ph.D. for Paper and Poster Presentations). If you are interested in participating in the oral presentation category, please submit a (maximum) 200-word abstract by March 14, 2020, to info.egss@ubc.ca. Final drafts of Poster Presentations and PowerPoint oral presentation are due by March 21, 2020 for review by the Organizing Committee.
